Monticello Fire Department

Monticello is located 78 miles north-northeast of Indianapolis along US-421 in White County. Established in 1869, MFD is a now a combination department with 23 professional and 10 volunteer firefighters. Uniquely, each of the 23 dedicated firefighters are also trained Paramedics. MFD provides Fire, Tactical Rescue, Hazmat and ALS protection to more than 6,000 residents in the City of Monticello and surrounding Union and Jefferson Townships.
