Churubusco/Smith Township Volunteer Fire Department The town of Churubusco is located 12 miles northwest of Fort Wayne at the intersection of US-33 and IN-205 in northeastern Whitley County. The 30 members of this all-volunteer department have provided Fire, Rescue & BLS non-transport protection to the residents of Smith Township Whitley County, the Town of Churubusco, the southern half of Green Township in Noble County and the western half of Eel River Township in Allen County since 1867. Because of our unique location, our department cover about 100 square miles. ALS Service is provided by Whitley County EMS which houses Medic 21 in our station as well. |
